Prayer for a Pandemic

May we who are merely inconvienced remember those whose lives are at stake.

May we who have no risk factors remember those most vulnerable

May we who have the luxury of working from home remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.

May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close remember those children who will go hungry with no school meals.

May we who have to cancel our trips remember those who no place to go.

May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market remember those who have no margin at all.

May we who settle in for quarantine at home remember those who have no home.

As fear grips our country let us choose love.

During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbor.

Through Jesus Christ our Saviour, whose arms of love embrace us all.

Amen, ~ From Cameron Wiggins Bellm (alt.)

This is a prayer is centered around the COVID-outbreak. The COVID-19 has created a lot of fear, confusion, hysteria, and chaos around the globe. Everyone is being affected by it, directly or indirectly. As we sit in our homes with the gaze of worry and anxiety upon our faces, let me reassure you that we will make it through it. Our God is good and His plan never fails. We can trust in that with100 percent faith. For us, take time out of your day, to catch up with people either by phone calls or FaceTime. For the strong and healthy, look out for those who are unable to leave their homes, be available for the grocery runs or any errands that can be a blessing for them. For many college students, we are bored out of our minds in our rooms with nothing to do. This is the time to work on your passions, discover new ones, or brighten your minds with free and accessible information on any topic you desire. I encourage you to better yourself, to grow as a person, and be united as people, not by your nation, background, ethnicity, etc. Blessings and prayers to all.

Amen and amen. It is a great reminder for us to not be too busy to reach out to our loved ones even though because of this pandemic we can not spend quality time with them. Love agape,
Papa Granville and Grandma Diana
